Our food closet contiunes to help our area Deaf and has now begun to reach out into the commuinty to serve the needs of familes within the River Vally. We are grateful for the support of our members in keeping the pantry full so we can contuine to serve the needs of familes.

We are so excited that the Sebastian County Sheriff Department has sent officers to take the basic emergency ASL sign class. Our goal, prayers, and dream...every officer in law enforcement within our area learns basic ASL!

Revival February 2007
We wanted more than just a "church revival" and God blessed us with a revival we will never forget. 250 in attendance was more than we could of ever hoped for. Lives were given to Christ, the Splat Expereience touched and moved us, old friends and new friends fellowshiped, workshops that were just plain great! WOW GOD IS AWESOME!
"Jubilation Youth Camp"
We were disappointed that the youth camp had to be canceled but know that God is on control and He has everything planned for a reason. We pray that next year a camp can be provided for the youth of our area.

Heavenly Grounds Cafe-Schedule Change

Little Hands Tutoring Classes
2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month
The Hands In Christ Deaf Ministry will provide sign language tutoring classes for Deaf, and hard of hearing children twice a month. Deaf senoirs of our ministry will assist in tutoring the children.

Movie Night At HIC

There has been some confusion over what the Heavenly Grounds Cafe is and how it is related
to the Deaf ministry. The cafe is located in the Hands In Christ building. It is a out-reach
of the HIC Deaf ministry. The cafe is set up in the coffee shop style. We have 5 sitting area pods, designed as living rooms or garden spaces that allow comfortable sitting, and converstaions to flow.
Our large theater style screen makes movies enjoyable for everyone. It is also used for Sunday school lessons, and workshops. We also have a full sound system for bands, workshops and movies.
The alter/stage has stage lights, and raised platforms so everyone can see. We have been very blessed to have the opportunity to provide all of this for the Deaf and hearing community.
Church services, Sunday school, workshops, special events are all held in the same building as the cafe.
We want to invite everyone to stop by and visit with us. Come and see what God is doing at HIC.

Heavenly Grounds Cafe
Our thanks to everyone who have helped with the construction of the new bathroom, kitchen and coffee bar. We can't wait to see how God will use this new ministry to reach out to the Deaf and hearing community.

Leviticus 19:14 - You shall not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God: I am the LORD.
Luke 9:11 - When the crowds learned it, they followed him; and he welcomed them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God, and cured those who had need of healing.
Matthew 11:5 - the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
