Deaf Ministry Objectives and Goals

To offer church program which enables hearing and Deaf/deafened/hard of hearing persons to communicate and feel more comfortable with each other, and to allow each other to share in worship and fellowship in the word of God.

Understanding that Deaf and hearing persons need each other, and are responsible to each other in providing a Christian fellowship and ministry.

To provide total access to all Deaf/Hard of Hearing/Oral, siblings and CODA's, to all services and programs offered through the church.

Within the Deaf Ministry there is a strong need for total communication for all levels of hearing loss. Our goal is to maintain and strengthen dialogue and understanding of God's word to all.

Never neglect any segment (group) of the deaf, to encourage the Deaf to participate in all church activities.

Develop a monthly Deaf FBL Church Newsletter, mailed to area Deaf and Hard of Hearing, their family and friends.

Offer a variety of social activities each month. Sample Activities: Luncheons, Bowling, Deaf Social/Fellowship, Workshops, Revivals, Field Trips, and other seasonal activities.
