Sittin around the barn sometimes you ever get the feeling your four legged friends just want to join in. Here is the place where we grab a cup of java, prop up the boots on that old ragged thing called a desk (or a bale of hay) and discuss the issues and problems around the barn.

"There are currently three USDA-inspected horse slaughter plants in the US and four in Canada which all process horse meat for human consumption in Europe and Japan. Some cuts of horse meat are now selling for up to $25 per pound. According to the USDA and the Canadian Ministry of Agriculture, approximately 100,000 US-bred horses are slaughtered at these plants, yielding an annual revenue of more than $300 million".
